I was given advice from a Professor this past year about ways to overcome an Artist's "Creative Rut". There are always days when you struggle to create and you find yourself frustrated and NOT having fun. I found this to happen to me while finishing up my final thesis for graduate school. It was suggested to put aside whatever I was working on and just make art for "fun". This entailed making whatever I wanted and using whatever materials I wanted to use. I have found by doing this, it makes you go back into your actual work with a clear mind and with a more positive outlook. This piece below is a good example of "fun" art that I created in the midst of grad school chaos!
